OUR STORY

Our story began several years ago, wandering through the vibrant food festivals of London. With every event, the aromas of our dishes drew bigger crowds, and soon the demand for our food grew beyond what we ever imagined. By 2019, we weren’t just participating in festivals, we were helping shape them. We co-organized and managed the food trading at our local Mint Street Music Festival and contributed to the lively energy of Latino Life. From then until 2023, we remained deeply involved in bringing Latino community celebrations to life.
 

I, Rafael C-Castro , an Ecuadorian wine and sake sommelier who has called London home for more than 28 years. My career spans some of the city’s most renowned restaurants, including The Gordon Ramsay Group, The Greenhouse Mayfair, and Sushi Samba, alongside my wife, Laura González-Tigeras, whose creativity and love of home-inspired cooking became the heart of what we do, opening doors to now having two permanent locations in the heart of London food halls.
 

Together, our shared passion for fine food, culture, and bringing people together gave life to the Nativo concept:

A warm, soulful celebration of flavour, heritage, and community!

Everything we do is guided by a commitment to sustainability and genuine social and environmental responsibility. These aren’t just goals on paper, they shape our daily decisions, our partnerships, and the way we serve.
 

We’re proud to work alongside like-minded companies who help us move closer to our zero-waste vision. Together, we focus on reducing—and ultimately eliminating, food waste, while ensuring that every catering disposable we use is plant-based and fully compostable. We choose our suppliers with intention, taking the time to understand their standards, certifications, and alignment with our values.
 

Supporting local makers and producers is a principle we hold close. That’s why we prioritise British-origin products, services, and manufacturers whenever possible. By lifting up local businesses, we help strengthen the community that has supported us from the start.

For us, sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s the way we honour our home, our neighbours, and the future we want to build together.
